EgyptAir Jet Crashes In Mediterranean Sea

EgyptAir Flight 804 crashed into the Mediterranean Sea, on its way to Cairo. The cause of the crash is still unknown. Cenk Uygur, host of The Young Turks, breaks it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below.

“EgyptAir Flight 804 plummeted into the Mediterranean Sea early Thursday while en route from Paris to Cairo with 66 people on board, and officials are trying to determine if the plane was taken down by terrorists.

Search teams scoured the sea for possible wreckage on Thursday. EgyptAir said some of the plane’s wreckage was found near the Greek island of Karpathos late Thursday, but later retracted their statement to CNN. Greek officials denied that any debris recovered so far was linked to the plane.

EgyptAir Flight MS804 left Paris at 11:09 p.m. and was scheduled to land at 3:05 a.m., Cairo time. It was cruising at 37,000 feet when it vanished from radar around 2:45 a.m. Cairo time.”
